An Agents View: Live Episode at Be Well Summit with Model Agent Karen Diamond from Models 1

Show Notes

It is not very often that we get to hear an agents view on models health. Many times people compare models to athletes. Needing to be strict with their diets and vigorous exercise regime, a short career in a high pressured environment. Mental health is known to suffer from daily comparisons of high standards and rejection.

In the last of the LFW special season, I speak to Karen Dimond, owner and director of Models 1, a leading modelling agency in the heart of London. Karen speaks very openly acknowledging the press that agents get is absolutely dreadful - especially during London Fashion Week because there's a huge spotlight on models. Highlighting there's always going to be a front page picture of a slim model who has been shot at an angle to look incredibly thin, which then becomes something which is being celebrated, but the reality is you do have to be strong and healthy to be a model.
