Calories are ubiquitous, and we can’t seem to escape them. Are we too fixated on them and should we be looking at a wider picture?

Giles Yeo MBE, a Cambridge University research scientist who studies the genetics of obesity, who looks at how our brains control food intake and play a critical role in modulating appetitive behaviour.

In this podcast we explore why looking simply at calories for weight loss could be flawed. How and why are all calories different and how does this impact our weight goals and overall health?

We explore the hidden truths behind sugar, and why in our western diet we consume such high amounts. Is sugar really addictive and are we aware of how much sugar we are consuming? How become more aware of sugar within our diets and overall how should we be approach our eating happens to optimise our best selves.
